The DLL allows developers to open mail stores, open the primary folders (Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Deleted Items), retrieve message details (Subject, From, To, CC, BCC, Body, Date, Flags, Attachment Count), retrieve the name of attachments and write them to a file, delete messages, and send messages. In order to stay small, the DLL does not cover all the features of MAPI, but contains enough functionality to suit most requirements.
